The 4th game was at our "home" field. The field is quite beat up, and for the rain the lines were almost all gone, it took me probably 1 hour and a half to make the grass field into a soccer field, again.
Of course the presence of a hill in the left corner and a creek (in which of course our balls ended up during the game) made the adventure more interesting but after all it was a good day again for the team.
The sun started to come out behind the trees, so it wasn't freezing cold when the game started.
The other team was well set in the field, was difficoult to notice they were 1 player short.Their defenders were sitting very high in the field, and forced us to be all crumbled in the middle, but with some adjustment we manage to adapt our way to play.
We got the first goal in the first half, and this helped a lot.
the 2-0 arrived on the second half and we even got a penalty, yep missed!
So a 2-0 final result and a 4-0-0 records for the season!

Our second game was against a team with not enough players (philly marathon day) so after a 4-0 first half we decided to play a small 8 vs 8 second half.
For the third game we were the team short, with no keeper and only 9 players.
result: a wonderful 2-0 victory, with not so mny problem in our penalty box, and an excellent job of our midfieldiers and defenders.
This week will face on of the top team!

Our first game ended 7-2. we won, but before going tooooo crazy, the other team was playing only in 9 players.
It was a rainy day, and for a misterious reason the Haverford township decided to give the best soccer field to a baseball team, and the worse one to us (so bad that half of the penalty box on one side of the field was the dirt patch of a softball field).
so let me recap, they gave the baseball field to us, and a soccer field to a baseball team. very godd haverford, thanks a lot.
Going back to the game, the team is amazing, the "old" group is there, and on top of it there are 6-7 new players that are making the team a great mix.
The season is long, and the usual teams are winning, it wil be interesting to play the D1 team that got relegated, and not to mention next game, with GCVSA, a strong team that always end the season at the top positions in D2.
so one game down and 9 more to go. hopefully our home field will be decent, and the season will be great.
I have my idea on which position we can compete for, but i will tell more after the second game.
